Ashley joined the Innovative Vision Care team in January of 2016 as our 'Director of First Impressions' which is our new front desk position. She comes to us with over 5 years of customer service experience, graduated from Ray-Pec in 2011, and prides herself in her ability to provide service above and beyond expectations. When Ashley is not at work she can be found doing her two favorite things: drawing and walker her Siberian Husky puppy with her husband Jeremy.
Melissa joined the Innovative Vision Care team in July 2016 as our 'Rockstar Optician'. She has over 16 years experience working as a customer service rep at Firestone Optics, a local contact lens distributor and still continues to work there on a part time basis. Melissa is the mother of 3 children Veronica, Phoenix, and Ruby. She also has an identical twin sister, Melanie. When she isn't working she enjoys spending time with her family, to shop until she drops, and also enjoys playing with her pet bunny, Mr. Fluffy Buns. She really loves being a part of the Innovative Vision Care team and finds it extremely rewarding to work with patients and children, she also strives to be the first person to cheer up an unhappy child.
Nadia has been with Innovative Vision Care since April 4th, 2011. She has almost nine years of experience working as an American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certified Optician, and over 3 years of experience as an optometric assistant and contact lens specialist. Nadia has also obtained certification as a Certified Paraoptometric Assistant. Over the course of these past nine years she has had the opportunity to work with different doctors and staff at various practices, and has greatly enjoyed being a part of the Innovative Vision Care team. One thing that she enjoys about her profession is the satisfaction she receives from helping others care for their health. Nadia obtains great joy in being able to help her friends and family with their ocular health as well. Nadia also speaks Spanish, and English as her second language, and is also becoming more fluent in Portuguese after five years of learning the language. She enjoys eating healthy, exercising, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Pete joined Innovative Vision Care in October 2012 as our first high school intern, originally handling clerical tasks. As a quick learner, Pete was promoted to Optometric Technician, and is now qualified as a Certified Paraoptometric. He is currently attending Longview Community College and will transfer to a four year school in 2016. Pete will continue to work for Innovative Vision Care part time while he pursues a career in the field of optometry. When he’s not working or studying, Pete enjoys working on cars and stereos, and spending time with his family and friends.
Ruth E. Sullivan joined the Innovative Vision Care team in February of 2012 and is aptly nicknamed Innovative Vision Care's 'Superstar Optician' with the business cards to prove it! Ruth has over 14 years of experience in optometry and ophthalmology. After graduating from Belton High School, Ruth followed the advice of a school friend and began working in the medical field. In 2001, Ruth found her true calling, working as a technician for a local ophthalmologist in Springfield, MO. Ruth's expertise ranges from contact lens specialist to surgical assistant to American Board of Opticianry Certified Optician. Ruth is a highly valued team member for her flexibility and ability to work in any position at Innovative Vision Care. In her spare time, Ruth enjoys swimming, bowling and being outdoors. When Ruth is not volunteering through her local church, she and her husband Jeremy are kept busy by their two children Olivia & Taylor, dog Jax, and their cats Boo and Riley.
Sara joined Innovative Vision Care in January 2009 after retiring from a 30 year career in payroll and human resources. As our Business Manager she is responsible for the behind-the-scenes operations that help make this business operate successfully. She continues to apply her expertise in the payroll and human resources areas as well as financials and project management. In her spare time Sara enjoys antiquing, flower gardening, fishing, and spending time with her two grandsons.
